Happy New Year, Happy New Home

Here we are, again. At the beginning of a new year. This time, January 1 is not only the beginning of a fresh twelve month cycle, it’s the ushering in of a new home. My family and I are saying good-bye to New York City, and hello to Pennsylvania. The process has been long and the emotions many, but it seems the Lord may be leading us to a new church in the rolling hill country of the Amish.  It’s not definite, but I am very hopeful that this is where we will rest.

The blessings of the Lord have been many, and too many to count. I’ve tried thinking upon the numerous gifts I received throughout 2013, but they overwhelm me. Taking a college journalism class, hiking the Grand Canyon, getting published, meeting a new friend, starting this blog. Yet, everything that I accomplished last year was not my own work. I see God holding each and every circumstance. And I know that it will be the same in 2014.

I’m so thrilled to see what God has in store for my family in this new year, and soon, in a new home. It is a true honor to be apart of His writings, and I cannot wait to read the coming chapters.

May your year be full of blessings from the one on high.

  1. Veronica, I know we haven't talked much, but I just wanted to let you know that I'm praying for your family. Church transitions are so rough–last year my dad was called to plant a church with the OPC, and it is challenging, but so magnificent. I know that you will see God's provision to you this year in ways you could never imagine. It's a marvelous adventure, and if you ever want to commiserate I would love to talk with you!
